Things to Do,  Volunteer Program

Volunteer in Seoul

Why not be a kindred spirit for your trip to Korea this time? Do something different by being a volunteer in Seoul and get to know the ‘real’ Korea instead of the usual limelight.

I realize that there are some of you who not only visit Korea once but a few times a year or every two years. Yes..Korea has bewitched so many people and addiction is not a bad thing when Korea is the reason for it. 🙂

My experience of wwoofing has shown me the other side of Korea, ‘Screening Humanity’ style and I love every second of it. It might not be your cup of tea but I gather that this one which I am going to recommend might be interesting to many.

I have been a subscriber of BEAN Seoul – a networking, volunteering, and social group for young professionals in Seoul, Korea for such a long time. However, honestly I have not had the time to lend a hand when I was there.

Recently, I received their newsletter:

Dear Zarina,

BEAN Seoul is looking for 6 volunteers to participate in the event of riding tandem bike with visually impared people on Saturday, April 29th

We will meet at Dongjak Station (Line 4, 9) Exit 1. After riding along the Han-river for 2 hours, we will have lunch together (paid by the community center) and then we will return to the station.

Date: Saturday, April 29th

Time: 9:30 am – 2:00 pm

Place: Dongjak Station (Line 4, 9) Exit 1

PLEASE join us on Saturday! BEAN Seoul and Siloam Centre would greatly appreciate it. 🙂

There you have it! My dear angelic readers out there, your kindness are precious. Like Bean Seoul’s motto – ‘There is more to life’, lets give more to our and other’s life. You never know..sometimes even a sincere smile is worth a diamond and it can de-stress others.

PLUS..you can improve your Korean. Fighting!
